How to Sew Your Pointe Shoes (Made Simple)

Sewing pointe shoes doesn’t have to be stressful. In this step-by-step video, I’ll walk you through my tried-and-true method for securing ribbons and elastics so your shoes feel comfortable, supportive, and performance-ready. Perfect for dancers learning to sew their first pair or for parents who want a clear, simple guide — this video takes the guesswork out and helps you start strong.

Lil Fred, my Class Companion

Lil’ Fred
Birthday: July 8, 2024

Lil’ Fred is more than just a cute prop—he’s a symbol of encouragement, support, and positivity in every ballet class. Born to count 5,6,7,8 and keep dancers smiling, standing tall, and moving with heart, he reminds everyone to stay confident and push through challenges. Whether he’s rocking his “I Got This” shirt or sharing his favorite reminder—shoulders over hips, sides long and strong—Fred brings laughter, posture perfection, and a whole lot of love to the studio. With his silly spirit and big ballet heart, Lil’ Fred continues to cheer on every dancer, every class, every step of the way.

Studio Photos

Some of my favorite ballet memories aren't from the stage—they're from the studio.

These moments capture the hard work, friendships, laughter, and joy that make every class so special.
